2024-12-02module: Convert symbol namespace to string literalPeter Zijlstra1-1/+1
Clean up the existing export namespace code along the same lines of commit 33def8498fdd ("treewide: Convert macro and uses of __section(foo) to __section("foo")") and for the same reason, it is not desired for the namespace argument to be a macro expansion itself. Scripted using git grep -l -e MODULE_IMPORT_NS -e EXPORT_SYMBOL_NS | while read file; do awk -i inplace ' /^#define EXPORT_SYMBOL_NS/ { gsub(/__stringify\(ns\)/, "ns"); print; next; } /^#define MODULE_IMPORT_NS/ { gsub(/__stringify\(ns\)/, "ns"); print; next; } /MODULE_IMPORT_NS/ { $0 = gensub(/MODULE_IMPORT_NS\(([^)]*)\)/, "MODULE_IMPORT_NS(\"\\1\")", "g"); } /EXPORT_SYMBOL_NS/ { if ($0 ~ /(EXPORT_SYMBOL_NS[^(]*)\(([^,]+),/) { if ($0 !~ /(EXPORT_SYMBOL_NS[^(]*)\(([^,]+), ([^)]+)\)/ && $0 !~ /(EXPORT_SYMBOL_NS[^(]*)\(\)/ && $0 !~ /^my/) { getline line; gsub(/[[:space:]]*\\$/, ""); gsub(/[[:space:]]/, "", line); $0 = $0 " " line; } $0 = gensub(/(EXPORT_SYMBOL_NS[^(]*)\(([^,]+), ([^)]+)\)/, "\\1(\\2, \"\\3\")", "g"); } } { print }' $file; done Requested-by: Masahiro Yamada <masahiroy@kernel.org> Signed-off-by: Peter Zijlstra (Intel) <peterz@infradead.org> Link: https://mail.google.com/mail/u/2/#inbox/FMfcgzQXKWgMmjdFwwdsfgxzKpVHWPlc Acked-by: Greg KH <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>

2023-03-21hwmon: (peci/cputemp) Fix miscalculated DTS for SKXIwona Winiarska1-1/+7
For Skylake, DTS temperature of the CPU is reported in S10.6 format instead of S8.8. 2023-02-03hwmon: (peci/cputemp) Fix off-by-one in coretemp_label allocationZev Weiss1-1/+1
The find_last_bit() call produces the index of the highest-numbered core in core_mask; because cores are numbered from zero, the number of elements we need to allocate is one more than that. 2022-05-22hwmon: (peci/cputemp) Use HWMON_CHANNEL_INFO macroGuenter Roeck1-22/+16
The HWMON_CHANNEL_INFO macro simplifies the code, reduces the likelihood of errors, and makes the code easier to read. The conversion was done automatically with coccinelle. 2022-02-09hwmon: peci: Add cputemp driverIwona Winiarska1-0/+592
Add peci-cputemp driver for Digital Thermal Sensor (DTS) thermal readings of the processor package and processor cores that are accessible via the PECI interface. The main use case for the driver (and PECI interface) is out-of-band management, where we're able to obtain the DTS readings from an external entity connected with PECI, e.g. BMC on server platforms.
