2023-10-18apparmor: add io_uring mediationGeorgia Garcia1-1/+1
For now, the io_uring mediation is limited to sqpoll and override_creds. Signed-off-by: Georgia Garcia <georgia.garcia@canonical.com> Signed-off-by: John Johansen <john.johansen@canonical.com>
2023-10-18apparmor: add user namespace creation mediationJohn Johansen1-0/+1
Unprivileged user namespace creation is often used as a first step in privilege escalation attacks. Instead of disabling it at the sysrq level, which blocks its legitimate use as for setting up a sandbox, allow control on a per domain basis. This allows an admin to quickly lock down a system while also still allowing legitimate use. Reviewed-by: Georgia Garcia <georgia.garcia@canonical.com> Signed-off-by: John Johansen <john.johansen@canonical.com>
2022-10-03apparmor: Fix undefined references to zstd_ symbolsJohn Johansen1-0/+11
Unfortunately the switch to using zstd compression did not properly ifdef all the code that uses zstd_ symbols. So that if exporting of binary policy is disabled in the config the compile will fail with the following errors security/apparmor/lsm.c:1545: undefined reference to `zstd_min_clevel' aarch64-linux-ld: security/apparmor/lsm.c:1545: undefined reference to `zstd_max_clevel' Reported-by: kernel test robot <lkp@intel.com> Fixes: 52ccc20c652b ("apparmor: use zstd compression for profile data") Signed-off-by: John Johansen <john.johansen@canonical.com> Acked-by: Jon Tourville <jon.tourville@canonical.com>
2022-10-03apparmor: add mediation class information to auditingJohn Johansen1-1/+1
Audit messages currently don't contain the mediation class which can make them less clear than they should be in some circumstances. With newer mediation classes coming this potential confusion will become worse. Fix this by adding the mediatin class to the messages. Signed-off-by: John Johansen <john.johansen@canonical.com>
2022-10-03apparmor: convert xmatch to using the new shared policydb structJohn Johansen1-0/+1
continue permission unification by converting xmatch to use the policydb struct that is used by the other profile dfas. Signed-off-by: John Johansen <john.johansen@canonical.com>
2022-10-03apparmor: reserve mediation classesJohn Johansen1-1/+8
Reserve mediation classes that exist in out of tree development branches or are used by userspace mediation helpers. Signed-off-by: John Johansen <john.johansen@canonical.com>
2022-07-09apparmor: make export of raw binary profile to userspace optionalJohn Johansen1-0/+1
Embedded systems have limited space and don't need the introspection or checkpoint restore capability provided by exporting the raw profile binary data so make it so make it a config option. This will reduce run time memory use and also speed up policy loads. Signed-off-by: John Johansen <john.johansen@canonical.com>

2019-04-11apparmor: Initial implementation of raw policy blob compressionChris Coulson1-0/+1
This adds an initial implementation of raw policy blob compression, using deflate. Compression level can be controlled via a new sysctl, "apparmor.rawdata_compression_level", which can be set to a value between 0 (no compression) and 9 (highest compression). 2018-03-13apparmor: add base infastructure for socket mediationJohn Johansen1-1/+2
version 2 - Force an abi break. Network mediation will only be available in v8 abi complaint policy. Provide a basic mediation of sockets. This is not a full net mediation but just whether a spcific family of socket can be used by an application, along with setting up some basic infrastructure for network mediation to follow. the user space rule hav the basic form of NETWORK RULE = [ QUALIFIERS ] 'network' [ DOMAIN ] [ TYPE | PROTOCOL ] DOMAIN = ( 'inet' | 'ax25' | 'ipx' | 'appletalk' | 'netrom' | 'bridge' | 'atmpvc' | 'x25' | 'inet6' | 'rose' | 'netbeui' | 'security' | 'key' | 'packet' | 'ash' | 'econet' | 'atmsvc' | 'sna' | 'irda' | 'pppox' | 'wanpipe' | 'bluetooth' | 'netlink' | 'unix' | 'rds' | 'llc' | 'can' | 'tipc' | 'iucv' | 'rxrpc' | 'isdn' | 'phonet' | 'ieee802154' | 'caif' | 'alg' | 'nfc' | 'vsock' | 'mpls' | 'ib' | 'kcm' ) ',' TYPE = ( 'stream' | 'dgram' | 'seqpacket' | 'rdm' | 'raw' | 'packet' ) PROTOCOL = ( 'tcp' | 'udp' | 'icmp' ) eg. network, network inet, Signed-off-by: John Johansen <john.johansen@canonical.com> Acked-by: Seth Arnold <seth.arnold@canonical.com>
2017-09-22apparmor: add mount mediationJohn Johansen1-0/+1
Add basic mount mediation. That allows controlling based on basic mount parameters. It does not include special mount parameters for apparmor, super block labeling, or any triggers for apparmor namespace parameter modifications on pivot root. default userspace policy rules have the form of MOUNT RULE = ( MOUNT | REMOUNT | UMOUNT ) MOUNT = [ QUALIFIERS ] 'mount' [ MOUNT CONDITIONS ] [ SOURCE FILEGLOB ] [ '->' MOUNTPOINT FILEGLOB ] REMOUNT = [ QUALIFIERS ] 'remount' [ MOUNT CONDITIONS ] MOUNTPOINT FILEGLOB UMOUNT = [ QUALIFIERS ] 'umount' [ MOUNT CONDITIONS ] MOUNTPOINT FILEGLOB MOUNT CONDITIONS = [ ( 'fstype' | 'vfstype' ) ( '=' | 'in' ) MOUNT FSTYPE EXPRESSION ] [ 'options' ( '=' | 'in' ) MOUNT FLAGS EXPRESSION ] MOUNT FSTYPE EXPRESSION = ( MOUNT FSTYPE LIST | MOUNT EXPRESSION ) MOUNT FSTYPE LIST = Comma separated list of valid filesystem and virtual filesystem types (eg ext4, debugfs, etc) MOUNT FLAGS EXPRESSION = ( MOUNT FLAGS LIST | MOUNT EXPRESSION ) MOUNT FLAGS LIST = Comma separated list of MOUNT FLAGS. 2017-09-22apparmor: add the ability to mediate signalsJohn Johansen1-0/+1
Add signal mediation where the signal can be mediated based on the signal, direction, or the label or the peer/target. The signal perms are verified on a cross check to ensure policy consistency in the case of incremental policy load/replacement. The optimization of skipping the cross check when policy is guaranteed to be consistent (single compile unit) remains to be done. policy rules have the form of SIGNAL_RULE = [ QUALIFIERS ] 'signal' [ SIGNAL ACCESS PERMISSIONS ] [ SIGNAL SET ] [ SIGNAL PEER ] SIGNAL ACCESS PERMISSIONS = SIGNAL ACCESS | SIGNAL ACCESS LIST SIGNAL ACCESS LIST = '(' Comma or space separated list of SIGNAL ACCESS ')' SIGNAL ACCESS = ( 'r' | 'w' | 'rw' | 'read' | 'write' | 'send' | 'receive' ) SIGNAL SET = 'set' '=' '(' SIGNAL LIST ')' SIGNAL LIST = Comma or space separated list of SIGNALS SIGNALS = ( 'hup' | 'int' | 'quit' | 'ill' | 'trap' | 'abrt' | 'bus' | 'fpe' | 'kill' | 'usr1' | 'segv' | 'usr2' | 'pipe' | 'alrm' | 'term' | 'stkflt' | 'chld' | 'cont' | 'stop' | 'stp' | 'ttin' | 'ttou' | 'urg' | 'xcpu' | 'xfsz' | 'vtalrm' | 'prof' | 'winch' | 'io' | 'pwr' | 'sys' | 'emt' | 'exists' | 'rtmin+0' ... 2012-01-13module_param: make bool parameters really bool (drivers & misc)Rusty Russell1-5/+5
module_param(bool) used to counter-intuitively take an int. In fddd5201 (mid-2009) we allowed bool or int/unsigned int using a messy trick. It's time to remove the int/unsigned int option. For this version it'll simply give a warning, but it'll break next kernel version. Acked-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Rusty Russell <rusty@rustcorp.com.au>
