# The X.Org Foundation X11R6.9/X11R7.0 Release Status

## Status

The X11``R6.9/X11``R7 release process is underway, and we are preparing for Release Candidate 1 (RC1).  The initial release candidate (RC0) was made for people to test and demostrate how the modularized source tree looks and works. 

This page will be updated to fill in the missing information below before RC1 is tagged.
