+07:10 < whot> as for the EVoC, we've had a surprising number of queries. I answered one on irc yesterday or they day before
+07:10 <+alanc> we tend to get a few after GSoC rejections go out and students start going through the list of alternate programs they can apply to if they didn't get in
+07:10 < whot> I'm a bit curious why they all showed up just after GSoC acceptance period is over when afaict none of them filed a xorg gsoc project. could be coincidental (raised awareness), could be a rejected student elsewhere (didn't check), could be something else

+07:11 <+alanc> I would bet they applied to other projects for GSoC, but those projects don't have fallback sponsorships like we do
