The help should rely on basics (like differentiating text from names), and not suggest to "place the number in quotation marks" when the argument is documented to be a text. If needed, the word "text" may link to a glossary article with syntax explanation. generate-id() is only stable within a single invocation, the results vary from run to run, causing two builds of the same codebase result in different output. Due to help including snippets from different files, a simple count won't be unique enough, but combining it with the sourcefile's topic-ID does the trick. tdf#148941 changed label from "Text" -> "Text Alternative" as part of making consistent usage across the UI. This patch updates the relevant help file. Also, introduces a variable for a sentence that is repeated across several options, and which uses the new label. This makes it possible to use <embedvar> instead of retranslating the same sentence with the label change.
