2012-09-10boost, orcus: disable bizarre "auto link" feature for MSVC:Michael Stahl5-32/+12
Boost apparently uses a MSVC auto-link feature to cause MSVC to request a static library with a very particular name; disable this and remove the associated ugly workarounds boost/Package_boost*.mk. Without it, BOOST_DISABLE_THREADS would be defined when compiling with GCC 4.7, which in turn would cause boost/smart_ptr/detail/sp_counted_base.hpp to include a single-thread--mode boost/smart_ptr/detaul/sp_counted_base_nt.hpp which is not suitable in a multi-threaded scenario. SAL_UNUSED_PARAMETER (expanding to __attribute__ ((unused)) for GCC) is used to annotate legitimately unused parameters, so that static analysis tools can tell legitimately unused parameters from truly unnecessary ones. To that end, some patches for external modules are also added, that are only applied when compiling with GCC and add necessary __attribute__ ((unused)) in headers.
