From 750afb08ca71310fcf0c4e2cb1565c63b8235b60 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Luis Chamberlain Date: Fri, 4 Jan 2019 09:23:09 +0100 Subject: cross-tree: phase out dma_zalloc_coherent() We already need to zero out memory for dma_alloc_coherent(), as such using dma_zalloc_coherent() is superflous. Phase it out. This change was generated with the following Coccinelle SmPL patch: @ replace_dma_zalloc_coherent @ expression dev, size, data, handle, flags; @@ -dma_zalloc_coherent(dev, size, handle, flags) +dma_alloc_coherent(dev, size, handle, flags) Suggested-by: Christoph Hellwig Signed-off-by: Luis Chamberlain [hch: re-ran the script on the latest tree] Signed-off-by: Christoph Hellwig --- drivers/net/fddi/defxx.c | 6 +++--- drivers/net/fddi/skfp/skfddi.c | 8 ++++---- 2 files changed, 7 insertions(+), 7 deletions(-) (limited to 'drivers/net/fddi') diff --git a/drivers/net/fddi/defxx.c b/drivers/net/fddi/defxx.c index 61fceee73c1b..38ac8ef41f5f 100644 --- a/drivers/net/fddi/defxx.c +++ b/drivers/net/fddi/defxx.c @@ -1139,9 +1139,9 @@ static int dfx_driver_init(struct net_device *dev, const char *print_name, #endif sizeof(PI_CONSUMER_BLOCK) + (PI_ALIGN_K_DESC_BLK - 1); - bp->kmalloced = top_v = dma_zalloc_coherent(bp->bus_dev, alloc_size, - &bp->kmalloced_dma, - GFP_ATOMIC); + bp->kmalloced = top_v = dma_alloc_coherent(bp->bus_dev, alloc_size, + &bp->kmalloced_dma, + GFP_ATOMIC); if (top_v == NULL) return DFX_K_FAILURE; diff --git a/drivers/net/fddi/skfp/skfddi.c b/drivers/net/fddi/skfp/skfddi.c index 72433f3efc74..5d661f60b101 100644 --- a/drivers/net/fddi/skfp/skfddi.c +++ b/drivers/net/fddi/skfp/skfddi.c @@ -409,10 +409,10 @@ static int skfp_driver_init(struct net_device *dev) if (bp->SharedMemSize > 0) { bp->SharedMemSize += 16; // for descriptor alignment - bp->SharedMemAddr = dma_zalloc_coherent(&bp->pdev.dev, - bp->SharedMemSize, - &bp->SharedMemDMA, - GFP_ATOMIC); + bp->SharedMemAddr = dma_alloc_coherent(&bp->pdev.dev, + bp->SharedMemSize, + &bp->SharedMemDMA, + GFP_ATOMIC); if (!bp->SharedMemAddr) { printk("could not allocate mem for "); printk("hardware module: %ld byte\n", -- cgit v1.2.3
