2023-01-26gpu: host1x: Rewrite syncpoint interrupt handlingMikko Perttunen1-3/+4
Move from the old, complex intr handling code to a new implementation based on dma_fences. While there is a fair bit of churn to get there, the new implementation is much simpler and likely faster as well due to allowing signaling directly from interrupt context. 2022-11-25gpu: host1x: Use DEFINE_SHOW_ATTRIBUTE to simplify debugfs codeLiu Shixin1-25/+3
Use DEFINE_SHOW_ATTRIBUTE helper macro to simplify the debugfs code for the status and status_all entries. No functional change. Signed-off-by: Liu Shixin <liushixin2@huawei.com> Signed-off-by: Thierry Reding <treding@nvidia.com>
2022-04-06gpu: host1x: Show all allocated syncpts via debugfsJon Hunter1-4/+7
When the host1x syncpts status is dumped via the debugfs, syncpts that have been allocated but not yet used are not shown and so currently it is not possible to see all the allocated syncpts. Update the path for dumping the syncpt status via the debugfs to show all allocated syncpts even if they have not been used yet. Note that when the syncpt status is dumped by the kernel itself for debugging only the active syncpt are shown. 2021-12-16gpu: host1x: Add initial runtime PM and OPP supportDmitry Osipenko1-0/+15
Add runtime PM and OPP support to the Host1x driver. For the starter we will keep host1x always-on because dynamic power management require a major refactoring of the driver code since lot's of code paths are missing the RPM handling and we're going to remove some of these paths in the future. 2021-03-30gpu: host1x: Show number of pending waiters in debugfsMikko Perttunen1-3/+11
Show the number of pending waiters in the debugfs status file. This is useful for testing to verify that waiters do not leak or accumulate incorrectly. Signed-off-by: Mikko Perttunen <mperttunen@nvidia.com> Signed-off-by: Thierry Reding <treding@nvidia.com>
2020-07-17gpu: host1x: debug: Fix multiple channels emitting messages simultaneouslyDmitry Osipenko1-0/+4
Once channel's job is hung, it dumps the channel's state into KMSG before tearing down the offending job. If multiple channels hang at once, then they dump messages simultaneously, making the debug info unreadable, and thus, useless. This patch adds mutex which allows only one channel to emit debug messages at a time. Signed-off-by: Dmitry Osipenko <digetx@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Thierry Reding <treding@nvidia.com>

2019-06-13host1x: debugfs_create_dir() can never return NULLGreg Kroah-Hartman1-3/+0
So there is no need to check for a value that can never happen. No need to check the return value all anyway, as any debugfs call can take the result of this function as an option just fine. 2017-10-20gpu: host1x: Improve debug disassembly formattingMikko Perttunen1-1/+13
The host1x driver prints out "disassembly" dumps of the command FIFO and gather contents on submission timeouts. However, the output has been quite difficult to read with unnecessary newlines and occasional missing parentheses. Fix these problems by using pr_cont to remove unnecessary newlines and by fixing other small issues. 2017-06-15gpu: host1x: Refactor channel allocation codeMikko Perttunen1-29/+18
This is largely a rewrite of the Host1x channel allocation code, bringing several changes: - The previous code could deadlock due to an interaction between the 'reflock' mutex and CDMA timeout handling. This gets rid of the mutex. - Support for more than 32 channels, required for Tegra186 - General refactoring, including better encapsulation of channel ownership handling into channel.c Signed-off-by: Mikko Perttunen <mperttunen@nvidia.com> Reviewed-by: Dmitry Osipenko <digetx@gmail.com> Tested-by: Dmitry Osipenko <digetx@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Thierry Reding <treding@nvidia.com>

2016-06-23gpu: host1x: Consistently use unsigned int for countsThierry Reding1-3/+4
The number of channels, syncpoints, bases and mlocks can never be negative, so use unsigned int instead of int. Also make loop variables the same type for consistency. Signed-off-by: Thierry Reding <treding@nvidia.com>
2013-12-19gpu: host1x: Fix build warningsThierry Reding1-5/+8
When debugfs support isn't enabled, gcc complains about some variables being unused. To avoid further #ifdefery, move debugfs specific setup code into static functions and use IS_ENABLED(CONFIG_DEBUG_FS) to have the compiler, rather than the preprocessor, discard them when unused. The advantage of doing it this way is that all the code will be compile-tested whether or not debugfs support is enabled. Signed-off-by: Thierry Reding <treding@nvidia.com>
